Season of the Drifter begins next week and the roadmap is full of content.

This is the first downloadable content since Bungie and Activision broke up, and there's plenty to do with Season of the Drifter.

In the last ViDoc, the Destiny 2 team said it was pleased to see what a Bungie-controlled roadmap and content would look like.

Apparently, he is very busy and full of new PvE modes, Pinnacle weapons and a set of armor that gives off a Master Chief impression.

All Destiny 2 players have access to at least some of the Season of the Drifter content, although Annual Pass holders have access to everything.

The ViDoc also reveals the title of the next season, Season of opulence, which begins in June.

Destiny 2: Season of the start time of the Drifter

The new season begins March 5 at the usual reset time of 5:00 pm GMT / 12:00 pm ET / 9:00 am PT. There will be a time out before the release of the update.

Destiny 2: Drifter Season – Gambit Prime

Gambit Prime The new PvPvE mode arrives on Destiny 2. Described as a high-risk, high-reward mode, you can assume one of four roles and create a new set of armor with its own benefits.

  • Invader – Deadly Killer: Hunt down your opponents and steal them.
  • Sentry – Impassable wall: counter the invaders and protect your bank.

You can eliminate the obstacles on the enemy side and there will be a more team-oriented approach to shoot down the Primevals.

You can also organize your own private Gambit matches in Season of the Drifter. You can join a team or a single player to view the cards or create your own tournament. Starting April 2, you can also hold your own Gambit Prime games.

Gambit also receives new cards. The first is New Arcadia on Mars, which is launched with Gambit Prime. The second is Deep Six on Titan, which comes March 12th. The Folly on Nessus Legion follows on March 19th. The last map, Emerald Coast on Earth, comes on March 26th.

Destiny 2: Drifter Season – The Calculation

Holders of an annual pass will also have access to a new activity called The calculation Once you have completed your first Gambit Prime match, you will be able to access it.

The Drifter is in agreement with the Nine, so get ready to face hell in The Reckoning. You will be in a team of four in a PvE activity similar to that of Blind Well.

You will have enemies rushing on you from all sides, so be prepared. There is also a ton of knowledge about The Drifter and the Nine while participating in The Reckoning.

The Reckoning offers as a reward the new pieces of fantasy armor. The general idea is to go from Gambit Prime to The Reckoning with better benefits every time. There will be a countdown, so go fast and kill fast.

The first level of Reckoning will be available on March 5th, with the second and third levels unlocked on March 8th and 15th, respectively.

You can also win Pinnacle weapons for completing The Reckoning:

There are also some unnamed weapons.

Destiny 2: Drifter Season – Invitation of the Nine

Starting March 15, you will have a new series of quests called Invitations of the Nine. You'll learn more about mysterious beings by collecting and completing Xur's weekly bonuses.

This quest will last nine weeks, so discuss with Xur when he will reappear to take the Invitation that will become the bonus in the Unknown.

Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter – new quests

the Quest for allegiance is the main mission of the story that has chosen you between the Drifter and the avant-garde. This changes the course of your Destiny 2 story permanently, so choose wisely.

The details of this quest are rare, we will inform you as soon as we know more. This is one of two new quests that players can complete, the other being the quest to unlock. Spiked.

Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter – Pinnacle Weapons

We have already spoken about the three new Pinnacle Weapons you get The Reckoning and Gambit Prime, but there will also be Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit Pinnacle weapons.

The Vanguard weapon is the SR3 oxygen shotgun. It has the benefit of dragonfly where each precision kills causes an explosion. The more you do, the more damage you will do.

The Crucible Weapon is The Recluse submachine gun. It has the advantage of Rampage where killing a weapon increases its damage for a short time.

Destiny 2: Season of the Drifter – Events

There will be two events at stake in Season of the Drifter, which are: Week of the Arc and the Revelry Festival.
