A new Exotic weapon, an updated version of Destiny 1's favorite Outbreak Prime, appeared in Destiny 2 after the release of 2.2.2, but do not be surprised if you did not. not heard yet. The weapon is in the game, but finding the mission to unlock it is not easy, and it's completely secretive; The Destiny players fell on it shortly after the update and spent the whole day understanding everything to unlock it.
The trick to find the weapon is how to start the quest: here's what you need to do and where to go. We also have a complete guide on unlocking your Outbreak Perfected if you do not want to try to solve it yourself.
To get started on the road to the fight against epidemics, you must go to Titan. Despite early speculations, you have no activity to do to find the beginning of the quest: you can go to the place by walking while exploring the planet. Land on the rig, then head south to the Tidal Anchor area.
You'll recognize this section of the game from several story missions you've completed on Titan (including "Bad Neighbors", the adventure that was originally designed to be required for Outbreak Perfected). Cross the tide anchor area until you reach the large control room with various switches and a large window. Continue to the next room just below, which also has a large window. You'll know you're in the right place if you walk through the room door and find a scannable floating Hive crystal in the corner immediately to your right; at the left end of the room, you should see a door leading to a red-lit room. That's where you head.
In the red room you will see in front of you a large sealed door, and one to your left, bearing the number 7 on each of them. Walk to the left door and you should get an "Unlock" message to interact with it. This will open the door and lead you into a new room with a glass wall separating a control area from the rest.
Head to the right side of the room, towards the fallen version of the computer that sits near a sealed door. Next to that will be a slight ramp, at the top of which is a basket full of junk and other rubbish, which normally looks like a level decoration that you would otherwise have ignored. However, check the recycle bin and receive a prompt to "Examine the failed device". Do it and you will get an exotic quest item called a fallen transponder.
You are now about to unlock Outbreak Perfected. You will then have to decipher some riddles and break codes before completing a timed mission similar to The Whisper, the one that will earn you Whisper of the Worm.
