Ryan Reynolds has recently begun to do some Pikachu in the new Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu.
He told him that he was thinking of a detective's voice. But the movie producers told him, "Just do Ryan Reynolds," and that was that.

Reviews are relatively positive, though critics appear to agree that the fans of the franchise will get more out of it. GameSpot's review done against all odds, live-action Pokemon works.
