The Lions have turned down interview requests for owner Sheila Ford Hamp in recent weeks as speculation has grown that, barring a miraculous run to end the season, Patricia is in her last six games in Detroit. .
Patricia wouldn’t say on Monday what she thinks is enough time to judge a coach’s performance.

In his first two seasons with the Lions, he made 10 changes of coordinator or post coach, including one in mid-season, the dismissal of special teams coordinator Joe Marciano in 2018.
Along with Marciano, Patricia fired his offensive coordinator, quarterback coach and running backs after the 2018 season. A year later, he fired his second special teams coordinator, John Bonamego, and had staff turnover at the defensive coordinator, offensive line coach, tight ends coach, linebacker coach and defensive back coach.
“I don’t know (what’s a fair timeline),” Patricia said. “I think we just try to go out and work every day. We sure are, we are criticized and judged every day by the work that we do, and we try to improve every day from that point of view and try to do it better and always try to be the best that we can be. I mean, that’s definitely all we ask is that we go out everyday and be it the best coach or the best player you can be that day, and try to improve it the next day. “
