[ad_1]

The Houston Astros and Detroit Tigers will meet to start their MLB series on Monday.

The Astros have just finished a four-game set against the Rangers. Houston won 4-2, 3-0, 11-4 in the first three games. Then, in the Sunday final, Houston kept the band running with a stellar 15-5 win. The Astros scored in all but three of the games, including five in the sixth.

For Monday's game, the Astros will send Brad Peacock early. In his 3-2 record this year with a time of 4.30, he has 38 strikeouts.

For the Tigers, they played four games against the Twins. Detroit lost two of the first three games (they had the first match of a double-share on Saturday), then Sunday in the final, Detroit shot with three points in the first two innings for a nice win from 5-3.

Detroit will be opposed to Matthew Boyd on Monday. With a 4-2 record this year with a points average of 2.86, Boyd has so far equalized to 63 points.

The Astros are 8-3 in their last 11 games on Monday and 37-15 in their last 52 games against the AL Central. Houston is 58-28 in its last 86 games and 6-1 in Peacock's last seven starts.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are 0-4 in their last four games on Monday and 14-3 in Boyd's last 17 home starts. Detroit are 5-2 in Boyd's last seven starts and 4-1 in their last five games with four days off.

Peacock opened fire at his last start, hitting 12 players in seven innings of white play.

As for Boyd, he has won his last three starts and has not dropped more than three earned runs in his last eight games.

This should be fun to watch. I'm going to go with Peacock and the Astros in what should be a fun game here.
