Detroit woman spots car theft suspect in hair salon and drags him by his dreadlocks: report

Detroit store owner Bianca Chambers herself took action this week after her Mercedes-Benz vehicle was reportedly stolen.

Two days after the car went missing, Chambers spotted the suspect inside a local barber shop – so she walked in and dragged the man across the store floor by his dreadlocks, FOX 2 reported from Detroit.

“At that point, I was like, ‘I’m not going to let this man walk anymore,’” Chambers told the station.

Customers at the barber shop helped Chambers with arresting citizens until authorities could take over, the station reported.

Before confronting the suspect, Chambers punctured the tires of his own vehicle, parked outside the barber shop, to prevent the suspect from walking away, FOX 2 reported.

Before finding the suspect, she had called the police several times to find out the whereabouts of the allegedly stolen vehicle – only to have it left by the time police arrived, the station reported.

The unidentified suspect has a history of auto theft dating back to his teenage years, according to the station.

Chambers accused the suspect of being “the dumbest criminal” because of the way he was said to have driven his car in recent days.

“You ride in my car like no one is going to see it,” she said.
