Cary Deutsche Bank will cut up to 51 jobs at its software and technology development center in Cary.
The bank sent to the North Carolina Department of Commerce a so-called WARN dismissal notice stating that layoffs would occur in August.
However, Deutsche Bank has stated that this facility, which employs about 900 people, has not been closed.
A spokesman for the company declined to comment on the layoffs.
The Cary operation is called the global technology center of Deutsche Bank, where the focus is on software development and applications.
Over the weekend, bank executives announced that they would cut some 18,000 jobs throughout the company.
The opinion was signed by Robert Dibble, managing director of the bank.
As the job situation at Cary is still unclear, Deutsche Bank is making a last-ditch effort to save itself
