Now that we have an exit date for Battlefield VIn Royal Battle Mode, Firestorm, DICE provided a roadmap containing content for the remainder of 2019.
Along with Firestorm, Tides of War's third chapter – Trial By Fire – will be released on March 25th. In April, the game will receive new Combined Weapon missions, followed by a new card entitled Mercury in May. June will see the release of a new mode called Outpost alongside Tides of War. Chapter Four: Challenging the odds. Expect new maps – Marita and Urban Combat – and new game modes in June as well.
Weekly rewards, including six new weapons, await players throughout the quarter.
Last but not least, Chapter Five: Awakening the Giant will be launched in the fall.
The official details of Chapters Three and Four are as follows:
Chapter three:
In April, co-op fans will be able to face new challenges with their friends as Combined Arms gets updated with encounters, two missions on the Fjell 652 card and a Hardcore mode. Squad up and show the AI troops who is the leader.
We will increase the intensity further later in Chapter Three. During this time, you will encounter unexplored fronts as the fight moves into the Mediterranean – with the addition of the Mercury map. Here, you will face a massive aerial invasion along the Cretan coast and experience the first and largest German paratroopers invasion ever based, based on the actual events of the Mercury operation.
There is also another new game mode to come. In June, you will secure and build goals for your team to gather enough soldiers to support the fight. This is the premise behind Outpost.
Chapter Four:
In this chapter, close combat fans have something to be excited about. Specifically, a new multiplayer map and a new mode are coming soon.
In mode, you focus on 5 vs 5. Battlefield V matches on the tight arena. Stay, fight and accomplish more with your team on multiple battlegrounds designed exclusively for the mode.
Regarding the proximity card, its urban design has been sought after by the community and should feel both familiar and fresh.
The fourth chapter also contains the map of Marita, where you can discover the shock of forces that took place in Greece in the late 1940s. This second map of the Battle of Greece unfolds along the side of the mountain overlooking a river the valley below resonates with you.
The details of chapter five will be communicated later. DICE said he was going to charge land, air and sea invasion players in a whole new theater of war.
