Most royal fans have heard of how Kate Middleton and Prince William met and fell in love with St. Andrews University. However, it was reported that the two men had another meeting before attending the same college.

Claims that they encountered even before attending the same school
Royal expert and author Katie Nicholl claimed that Prince and Middleton had another meeting before the one we all heard about in St. Andrews.
Nicholl, who wrote the books William and Harry and Kate: the future queen, told journalist Katie Couric that even she thought she had met at the university until Middleton's friends told him otherwise.
"It was really fascinating for me," said Nicholl. "I was talking to some of her friends at Marlborough School, where she went before St. Andrews. They said, no, she did not meet him in St. Andrews. She met him before he arrived.
Nicholl added that, according to rumors, their first meeting would have occurred: "While she was at school in her sixth form through the intermediary of some of her friends, they knew the prince William and Prince Harry. So, there was an early meeting. It changed everything for me.

Thus, even if they met some time before the college, their next meeting is the one that is most important to them, as they recalled during their joint interview of 2010 after their engagement.

Kate remembered how nervous she was at the time.

The two men ended up going out together privately for a while and, in 2002, reports said that they were leaving their dorm and renting an apartment with a couple of friends at a university.
