The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders for a third and fifth round pick. We have seen trade come to fruition this week with the choices made by Pittsburgh.
With both choices, Pittsburgh clinched wide receiver Diontae Johnson and striker Zach Gentry. Johnson was the third round pick and Gentry the fifth.
On paper, it's like nothing to be an asset to one of the best players in the NFL. Gentry is probably a training player in 2019 and Johnson will be part of a very cluttered receiver group.
Nevertheless, I know that you do not judge these players even before they go to the field. And we also understand that removing Brown from the list, regardless of compensation, was a one-way win.
But it's okay to be definitive about it now. There is no way for the Steelers to have anything comparable to what Brown brought with Johnson and Gentry. In fact, do not be surprised if Gentry does not even make the final roster this season.
