Dillon Danis UFC 229 Fighting Hearing Scheduled by NSAC

Dillon Danis will face music next week for his role in the infamous UFC 229 fight.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission must consider a disciplinary complaint filed against the Bellator's welterweight "or, instead, a hearing on the draft arbitration agreement" at a meeting on Monday. Las Vegas, according to an agenda published today by the commission.

Danis, 25, has been temporarily suspended pending the outcome of the hearing. Last month, his teammate Conor McGregor was suspended for six months and fined $ 50,000 for his role in the fight. After signing with Bellator in March 2017, Danis claimed to be the highest paid fighter on the Viacom promotion list.

At UFC 229, Nurmagomedov jumped over the fence of the octagon to kick Danis. The two men briefly exchanged punches on the floor of the arena. Security officials quickly separated them, but McGregor engaged with Nurmagomedov's guards, extending the scrum for several seconds.

Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov, two of Nurmagomedov's players, were also suspended for a year for their role in the fray.
