“Dino-guts plush shooter” Second Extinction arrives for Xbox game preview this spring

Second Extinction, the three-player co-op shooter that has you battling to reclaim the Land of the Mutated Dinosaurs, joins Xbox Game Preview this spring.
Second Extinction was revealed during Microsoft’s Xbox 20/20 event last year. You team up with two other players to eradicate the dinosaurs that plague the planet in what developer Systematic Reaction describes as “short but intense combat operations.” Rather than your usual dinosaurs, Second Extinction offers everything from electric raptors to “T-Rex behemoths that rule the horizon”.

Simon Vickers, recent game director for Xbox Wire, said it was “early enough in the game’s development that we were able to confirm something we all suspected; shooting dinosaurs and watching them burst was fun. is one of the most important things for a game to do. It’s the basic set of actions that we ask players to do over and over again after all, and nailing that so early was a massive win for the game and gave us a huge boost of confidence that we were on to something special.

There is no concrete date for when Second Extinction joins Xbox Game Preview still beyond Spring, but we do know that when the game arrives for Xbox One and Xbox Series X it will support up to 120. FPS and will use Microsoft’s Smart Delivery feature.
