Tonight at the Kid's Choice Awards, Paramount Pictures released the first trailer for the upcoming movie Dora and the lost gold city, the live-action Dora the explorer the film should come out this summer. Check Dora and the lost gold city trailer in the player below!

Dora and the lost gold city star Isabela Moner (Transformers: the last knight, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Instant family) in the lead role of the film. Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for the most dangerous adventure of all time: high school. Always an explorer, Dora finds herself quickly at the head of Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego and a group of spiky teens in a real adventure to save his parents and solve the impossible mystery behind an Inca civilization lost.

In the film, one of the biggest stars of Mexico, Eugenio Derbez (At the sea, Instructions not included, How to be a Latin lover), who plays Alejandro, a mysterious jungle dweller who tries to protect teenagers from the marauders. The film also stars Jeffrey Wahlberg as cousin Diego; Nicholas Coombe (Spy Kids: Mission Control, Midnight Sun) like Randy, a high school classmate who develops an immediate crush on Dora; Madeleine Madden (Picnic at the suspended rock, Tidelands) as the class president of the school, Sammy; and Adriana Barraza, Academy Award nominee (Babel, Amores Perros, Thor, The 33) as Dora's grandmother, Abuelita Valerie. Eva Longoria and Michael Peña are also Dora's parents. Benicio del Toro (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Guardians of the Galaxy, Sicario) will hear Swinger, the famous thief, with Danny Trejo (Machete) put on boots.

The film is produced by Kristin Burr, producer of Christopher Robin, who is joined by executive producer John Bobi, long-time partner of BobinThe Muppets, Most popular Muppets, Alice through the mirror) and executive producers Julia Pistor (The Chronicles of Spiderwick, A series of unfortunate events) and Eugenio Derbez.

Paramount will release Dora and the lost gold city August 2nd.
