Latest edition of Inside the Fort brings you what we hear behind the scenes about the Head Coach Jim harbaugh future with the Michigan Wolverines football schedule, after absurd reports surrounding his status were released yesterday by unreliable sources.
Several other updates are also inside, including discussions of some staff changes we might see tomorrow from the soccer team, that Wisconsin players could potentially miss the game and more.
Starting with football, and an article earlier this week on Jim harbaugh and his future in Michigan …
Without going into detail about it, it was written that Harbaugh had become frustrated with the inconveniences etc. and that he was going to put it back in Michigan at the end of the year. We can tell you after talking to a number of close people that this is clearly wrong.
One of them said his expansion was still there waiting to be finalized, and would have been now without COVID-19. Another very close noted that no one at the forefront, from the president Mark Schlissel toad Manuel Warde, would have canceled it, and Harbaugh is so determined to try to figure out how to “fix” this season that he hasn’t even thought about the contract (which he said).
As for the long-term extension now, though … the pressure is mounting, and it’s been tough on a lot of people – not just Harbaugh, of course, but those close to him. There’s been a lot of negativity, which comes with the territory when you don’t win in Michigan, and it’s taking its toll.
From what some relatives have gathered, the administration is prepared to view this as a “mulligan year” no matter what the rest of the time, citing opt-outs, injuries, etc. as obstacles that are difficult to overcome.
