Bob Iger no longer sits on the board of Apple.

On Sept. 10, the Disney CEO resigned from his position as a technology giant after filing a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The action coincided with the same day that Apple unveiled details of its Apple TV + streaming service that will compete directly with the online service recently announced by Disney, Disney +.

"I have the greatest respect for Tim Cook, his team at Apple and my other board members," Iger said in a statement about his departure. "Apple is one of the most admired companies in the world, known for the quality and integrity of its products and staff, and I am always grateful to have served on the company's board of directors .
