In the Bahamas, some leisure seekers took advantage of Hurricane Dorian's lining when their Disney cruise was extended for three days.
The Disney Dream was supposed to return to Port Canaveral on Monday after a four-day Caribbean getaway, but the Category 4 storm closed the Florida harbor and altered plans.
Instead, the ship sailed to Cozumel and the Cayman Islands – at a safe distance from the storm – while Disney employees in Castaway Cay, a tropical island owned by the company located south of the heavily-affected Abaco Islands, hid in a shelter and avoided the worst.
