There were rumors that Hawk Eye was looking to choose a Deaf and Native American, First Nations, Native or Latinox actor for a mysterious role, with stories surrounding Echo’s early days.

While Steinfeld hasn’t been officially announced as Kate Bishop, set videos show her alongside Clint Barton and Renner’s Pizza Dog. The high-res photos also reveal Kate Bishop’s weapon of choice, which is a recurve bow. It’s a stark contrast to the compound bow used by Clint in the MCU movies. The actor added fuel to the fire with a recent social media post that featured a bow and arrow emoji and an evocative image of the character from the comics. As for Lucky the Pizza Dog, its inclusion was recently teased by Renner, who shared a photo of Hawkeye dog treats.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he started playing in 2011 in Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to be the new Hawkeye. The show is also expected to look at Clint’s time as Ronin, the superhero identity he assumed during the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Hawk Eye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. The Disney + series has yet to receive a premiere date.
