Downdetector reported that some users were experiencing technical issues shortly after midnight Pacific Time.

Disney + ran into technical issues for some users in the early hours of Friday morning as people rushed to see Marvel’s latest episode. WandaVision.

The outage tracking website, Downdetector, reported a huge increase in user-submitted issues with Disney +, from zero reported issues to over 8,000 just after midnight when the new episode dropped. Downdetector reported that most of the blackouts occurred on the West Coast, with clusters centered around Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

At the same time, there were also thousands of tweets about the Disney + crash and the inability to watch episode seven of WandaVision.

The technical issues appeared short-lived, with many users reporting issues to Downdetector, providing updates that they were able to broadcast the show again ten to fifteen minutes later.

The Hollywood Reporter contacted Disney for comment on the technical issue reports.
