Disney Parks are following in the footsteps of updated CDC guidelines and asking guests to mask themselves in interior areas of the park. The change took effect on July 30 and includes employees and guests over two years old.
The CDC has updated its COVID-19 guidelines and urges individuals to wear face coverings in areas with high COVID-19 infection rates. As the delta variant continues to spread, it is suggested that even those who are fully vaccinated also wear face masks.
Disneyland and Disney World require guests to wear masks “inside” at their resorts, which include rides, bathrooms, buses, monorails, and the Disney Skyline. While park visitors are not asked to wear masks outdoors, people should exercise discretion based on their proximity to other guests.
On the Disney website, there is a full list of acceptable mask types.
