Planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Be prepared to mask yourself – even if you’ve been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, according to new safety guidelines released by the company.
“A face mask is required for all guests (ages 2 and over) and cast members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine,” the safety briefing said. “Please bring your own face blankets and wear them at all times, except when eating or swimming.
The guidelines are based on those from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
“There is currently not enough information available to say whether or when the CDC will stop recommending that people wear masks and avoid close contact with others to help prevent the spread of the virus that causes the COVID-19, “even after receiving the two doses of the coronavirus vaccine, the federal agency said on its website.

“Experts need to better understand the protection COVID-19 vaccines provide under real conditions before making this decision. Disney World, in its safety guidelines, also notes that “neck warmers, open chin triangular bandanas, and face coverings that contain valves, mesh or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings. Costume masks are also not allowed, officials said.
