The gradual reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort will get off to a good start next year.

The Orlando, Florida theme park will be bringing back its Park Hopper program starting Jan. 1, 2021, the park announced in a blog post on Friday.

The benefit allows customers to visit two of the different Disney World parks with a same day ticket, such as Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT and Animal Kingdom.

Customers with tickets or annual passes to Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day, although there are some precautionary changes as Disney World continues its gradual reopening.

Jumping into a second park will only be allowed between 2 p.m. and closing, and customers will need to make reservations for the first park they intend to visit in a day, according to Disney. Reservations will not be required for the second visitor to the “hop” park, but this may change.

In addition, the ability of customers to visit a second park will be subject to the capacity limits of that park.

The changes are designed to help Disney manage attendance and promote physical distancing as COVID-19 remains a concern. Disney World said it will also continue to implement improved health and safety measures, such as requiring all customers aged 2 and over to wear headgear.

The iconic theme park temporarily closed in March when the pandemic began and reopened in July with strict safety protocol in the fight against the viral disease. Its west coast counterpart, Disneyland in California, remains closed.
