Disneyland, California Adventure ‘Magic Key’: Annual Pass Holder Replacement Program Details Revealed

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) – Disneyland Resort on Tuesday unveiled details of its new “Magic Key” program, a membership and loyalty plan that replaces annual passes for frequent visitors.

The Magic Key program “has been informed and shaped by extensive consumer research and guest and fan feedback” and includes four different types of passes, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Each of the four passes will provide pre-booked entry to Disneyland, California Adventure, or both:

Dream Key: priced at $ 1,399 with no block dates. Up to six theme park reservations can be made at a time on different dates.

Believe Key: Priced at $ 949 with 48 block dates throughout the year. Up to six theme park reservations can be made at a time.

Enchantment Key: Priced at $ 649 with 149 block dates. Up to four theme park reservations can be made at a time.

Imagine Key: Priced at $ 399 and available only to residents of Southern California. Admission by reservation to one or both theme parks on certain days of the year. Up to two theme park reservations can be made at a time.

Park visitors can visit Disneyland.com/MagicKey to view Magic Key calendars and learn more about the program, including benefits, savings opportunities, and special experiences.

Beginning August 25, Magic Key holders will be able to use the theme park reservation system to make advance reservations on available dates and will be able to hold a certain number of upcoming reservations, depending on the type of pass.

Founding members who join the program within the first 66 days (a nod to Disneyland’s 66th anniversary) will receive a special welcome package that will include items such as a branded pin, celebration button, and magnet .

A Magic Key portal on the Disneyland app should be added to the Disneyland app.

A monthly payment plan will be offered exclusively to California residents aged 18 or older. For residents of Southern California, and after a down payment, Magic Key passes start at $ 399 or $ 19 / month for 12 months.

The passes will be available for purchase through Disneyland.com and the app, which will include an interactive admission calendar for individual pass types to view reservation availability and reserve park reservations.

Disneyland ended its previous annual pass holder program earlier this year while the park was still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
