Djay arrives on Arm-based Macs and gets a big update

The Djay music mixer app today receives an update on Mac with support for Apple’s new M1 processor. This makes Djay one of the first apps to be updated for the first list of Arm-based Macs, which will launch next week.

Now the functionality is updated to support isolation of basslines and built-in effects allow you to manipulate these specific elements while playing a song. You can add echo to vocals or boost drums. There are over 40 effects available. App developer Algoriddim also adds the ability to loop isolated parts of a track and blend in between isolated elements of different songs.

The new version of Djay is also universal, which means that if you pay for it on Mac, you will also get the app on iOS. Djay is free to get started, but you’ll have to pay $ 50 per year to unlock all of its features, including Neural Mix, Automix (a feature that automatically transits between tracks) and major DJing tools like a four-deck view, loops and built-in samples, and support for DJ controllers.
