Do not let your friends spoil the new Game of Thrones episode tonight. Here's how to avoid them

If you're not familiar with Avengers: Endgame or the latest episode of Game of Thrones, it's frustrating to have to avoid social media. It seems that every time a movie or a large-scale show comes out, social network users tweet and publish all the juicy details. Spoilers are almost inevitable.

The simplest solution would be to stay away from social media and all information sites, but this is not realistic. Fortunately, you can make some changes to your social networking accounts to prevent spoilers from invading your screen. Also, avoid at all costs your rest room at the office!

Delete keywords and accounts on Twitter

1. In the app, tap your notifications (the bell icon). If you use a desktop, click Settings and privacy.

2 Tap settings. iPhone ($ 1,000 at Amazon) users select Muted> Words muted. Android and desktop users select Words muted.

3 Tap Add (iPhone, desktop computer) or the + icon (Android). If you follow multiple GoT or Avengers accounts, you will need to disable them. Mute words like Game of Thrones, GoT, Avengers and popular hashtags.

4 Select this option to disable these words from your timeline, notifications, and anyone.

5 Choose how long you want to disable words and accounts. You can choose between 24 hours and always. Then tap Save.

Temporarily repeat friends and groups on Facebook

1. Locate the group or person you want to repeat in your feed. (You know this one.) On the desktop or phone, click or tap the three dots at the top of the publication.

2 To select Snooze (name / group) for 30 days. If you do not want to repeat them for 30 days, you can always go to their page and cancel the rehearsal.

Download a spoiler prevention app

For the desktop, download the Chrome Spoiler Protection 2.0 plugin. This extension hides spoilers on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google and news sites. Just type keywords, like GoT or Avengers, and let the extension do its work.

For phones, use applications such as Spoiler Block (iPhone, Android) and Spoilers Blocker (Android). Add keywords that you want to block and apps will keep them out of your news feed.
