Jodie Whittaker is entering her final season of Doctor Who – and she sure doesn’t get a nice and easy send.

Season 13 of the beloved sci-fi series premieres Sunday, October 31 on BBC America, the network announced on Saturday, and the new season features a new title: Doctor Who: Flux. We see why in a new teaser – which you can watch above – featuring Whittaker’s Doctor making a distress call: “Listen close. We do not have much time. The Flux is coming.

“The Flux” brings with it a parade of classics who villains, including Sontarans and weeping angels, as well as creatures known as Ravages “and enemies of the whole universe,” warns the Doctor. “This is the fight of our lives,” she adds before being called back by her companions. “It happens. Be prepared.”

The new season marks Whittaker’s last as Thirteenth Doctor: she and showrunner Chris Chibnall are retiring after season 13 and a trio of feature films, which will premiere next year. Old Doctor Who Showrunner Russell T Davies returns to lead the series in 2023, just in time to mark the franchise’s 60th anniversary. No word yet, however, on who the Fourteenth Doctor will play.
