According to Jon Heyman of the MLB network, Justin Turner's current agent, Greg Genske, has pulled out a Jerry McGuire and has teamed up with Alex Hicks, Ballengee's manager. The new agency will be calling GEM Agency and will start with a handful of Genske customers after conflicts arising from the acquisition of the former Genske agency by Gatemore Capital Management. (A lawsuit is pending between the two parties in California)
Alex Hicks, son of former Rangers owner, Tom Hicks and certified agent, has partnered with longtime agent, Greg Genske, a former Legacy partner, to form a new agency. Justin Turner, Tommy Pham and Roberto Osuna are among the most prominent clients.

Alongside Turner, there are Rays players Tommy Pham and Astros, Roberto Osuna, who will enter their last season of eligibility for arbitration. The next years for this young agency are therefore of the utmost importance. In case you do not know, Justin Turner's eligibility for free will comes after the 2020 season.
It's no secret that the Dodgers must start planning for their lives after Justin Turner, but Dodger fans would be absolutely sorry if JT had to wear another sweater than the Dodgers. Hopefully Genske and his new company at GEM will be able to live very long with JT.
