Are there two royal babies on the way? Rumors circulate that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, could expect twins.

It all started when an Irish betting company, Paddy Power, announced that she would no longer gamble on the chances that former Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would have two children next spring.

Paddy Power said that there had been a sudden and unusual increase in bets on the royal couple having twins. This could possibly mean that some betting person might have special knowledge of the duchess's pregnancy.

"An unprecedented number of bets on Meghan and Harry's having twins forced us to stop taking bets on the market," a Paddy Power spokesman told TODAY in a statement. "Since the beginning of the day, the flow of bets has led us to believe that perhaps bettors – or a preferred source – know more than us."

The probabilities of the twins had reached 5 to 1 just before the bets were suspended on November 23.

Of course, it is only speculation, so take it with a grain of salt. But it's fun to imagine not one but two babies joining the royal family. On the one hand, it means that Prince Harry and his brother would have five children between them, creating even more lively family portraits!

And there is no doubt that there would be many pretty pictures of Prince Harry and the Duchess when she was a young family of four.

If they had twins, it would be a historic moment for the royal family. The twins are no longer part of the British royal family since the 15th century, when Joan Beaufort, Queen of Scotland, gave birth to twins, James and Alexander, in 1430. Alexander died shortly after his birth. King.

The bets may have ended on the possibility of royal twins, but Paddy Power still has several wagers underway regarding the royal baby, including bets on possible names. Diana is in the lead for girls, with a 8-on-1 rating, while Arthur is leading the pack with a 12-to-1 rating. Of course, if they really have twins, maybe both names could win!

People also bet on the sex, the time of birth, the day and month of birth of the baby and even the color of his hair. Black is in the lead for this one, followed by brown, then red.

Players also make hilarious long-term bets, including wagering on who will get married first: Prince Louis or the Royal Baby on the way. From now on, the chances are also shared for that one.

There is even a bet on who will go first bald. (Prince Louis is also ahead of him for what he's worth.)

Of course, until the duke and the duchess themselves reveal details about the royal baby (or babies?), All this is just rumor.

But one thing is certain: the royal fever of babies is on our doorstep!
