How fast can you charge the Bose Noise Canceling 700 headset?

With the release of the NCH 700, Bose has made every effort to ensure that this headset finally adopts USB-C instead of USB. In addition, their maximum autonomy is 20 hours, which is quite impressive.

But what about those times when you need a quick charge to help you manage your work session? Bose also thought of this: a 15-minute charge will power the NCH 700 for two more hours.

Bose also states that these headphones will fully charge in approximately 2.5 hours. When fully charged, the NCH 700 will last up to 20 hours before being reconnected.

Fortunately, Bose has included a new voice prompt that tells you the remaining battery life each time you turn on the NCH 700. If your battery starts to get too low, a voice prompt will say "Low battery, charge now" .

Finally, you can know the remaining battery life by pressing and holding the touchpad until you hear a voice message. When you hear the prompt, just say "Advertise the battery level" and you'll know how much time you have left to do some work.

How does this compare to the competition?

At first glance, the two hours of battery life for 15 minutes of charging seem awesome, and that's for some. However, when you look at other noise canceling headphones such as the Sony WH1000XM3 or the Jabra Elite 85H, the numbers do not look as good.

Sony claims that its headphones can be used five hours after a charge of only ten minutes, more than double the reading in less time. As for the Elite 85H, Jabra says you can get five hours of reading with 15 minutes of charge.

Although they offer the least possible playback time, Bose Noise Canceling 700 headphones remain an excellent option. Noise cancellation is all the rage nowadays, and Bose is back with another success after the success of the QC 35 range.
