Dog the Bounty Hunter was reportedly the subject of a $ 1.3 million lawsuit accusing him of “racist and homophobic behavior” during his search for Brian Laundrie in Florida.

The 68-year-old – whose real name is Duane Chapman – was reportedly fired from the show after racist outbursts and used an illegal Taser to intimidate someone’s home during a shoot in Virginia, according to The Sun, who cited the lawsuit.
Chapman, who was also accused of using homophobic language, strongly denied the charges, the outlet said.
“Dog Unleashed” was canceled before it even aired over the star’s racist and homophobic comments “as well as illegal activity while filming,” the producers wrote earlier this year in a statement.

Unleashed Entertainment chief Michael Donovan said in a statement that “Dog Unleashed” was canceled due to “actions taken by Mr. Chapman during production on the show that violate contractual agreements,” according to The Sun .
The outlet reported that Donovan is suing Chapman for libel.
“The defendant is a disgraced reality TV star who was fired by the plaintiff after his company discovered that the defendant used racial epithets to attack black teenagers Black Lives Matter Activists,” State court documents deposited on October 5 and obtained by the point of sale. The lawsuit says the tweet “accuses the plaintiff and his associates of criminal activity, which is false, constituting libel” and attempts to “damage the plaintiff’s reputation.”
The costume also quotes another tweet from Chapman in September that said, “They’ll see how you lied about all of us, you slip up again and little boys daddy,” according to The Sun.
