Dog the Bounty Hunter underwent a "heart attack" over the weekend that required hospitalization and surgery.
According to TMZ, Dog, his real name is Duane Chapman, would have been transported from his Colorado home to the hospital after having chest pains. Doctors are still determining if he has had a heart attack, according to the report.
Corrective surgery may be necessary.
The Blast reports that Dog is "fine" now, but stays in the hospital.
"I can confirm that Dog is being treated by a doctor and is resting comfortably," said a Dog representative at TMZ. "Thank you for all your wishes, keep going."
The medical incident comes just months after the death of Duane's wife, Beth Chapman, as a result of a battle against cancer.
In a recent episode of Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast, Dog said he was dreaming of his deceased wife.
"I had a dream, I have visions, she is in paradise and looks up and says:" My God, Big Baddy will like it here. "Look at all the animals And I say to myself, "Where are they?" And then, she sprinkles the garden with the identical air, "he said. "I had the habit of sneaking her … and I did it and she said 'Big Daddy, what did you take so long ? & # 39; and started crying.
On September 4th, Duane's latest show, "Dog's Most Wanted," was premiered on WGN. The show tells the battle of Beth.
"I did not watch any of these shows," he told People magazine. "I looked a bit at the first show, but at that moment, I could not stand it."
Since Beth's death, the Chapman family has had to deal with several unforeseen problems: her souvenir shop was robbed in August and Dog was also a victim of a check scam a month earlier.
