Dog the Bounty Hunter joins Brian Laundrie’s manhunt, says he’s received over 1,000 leads

Duane “Dog” Chapman said on “Fox & Friends” Monday that he had received more than 1,000 tips since joining the Brian Laundrie search.

“We got over a thousand leads… So we’re looking at all of those leads,” the famous bounty hunter said. “These are incredible photos of him here, they are here. We’re looking at all of those leads right now.”

“I would say within 48 hours we’ll probably have a place to start tracking.”

Officials have been looking for Laundrie for more than a week and, according to officials, the search will likely be “narrow and focused” based on information about her whereabouts.

Laundrie’s ex-fiancée Gabby Petito was killed after she and Laundrie embarked on a trip across the country to visit various national parks.

Petito’s family reported her missing on September 11 and after days of searching the body of the 22-year-old was found near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

“I would like all Christians to start praying,” Chapman said. “What they didn’t ask for was prayer, now it’s prayer time.”

“These Christians are getting together. Please pray that God will lead me through the desert to him, and I can bring him back alive.”

Laundrie returned to her parents’ house on September 1, in the van they traveled with, but without Gabby. Her death, according to the autopsy, was considered a homicide, but authorities have not disclosed how she died.

Laundrie is wanted for bank fraud, although he remains a person of interest in Petito’s homicide.

There is a $ 30,000 reward for anyone who can provide advice leading to Laundrie’s arrest. Chapman said he visited Laundrie’s house but Laundrie’s parents did not want to talk to him. He described Laundrie as a “man of the outdoors” who probably hides “where he feels comfortable,” mentioning that Laundrie has spent time along the Appalachian Trail in recent years.
