“Most of my tattoos came about because I’m very fair and I tend to get scars when I get cut,” she said.

“I have had surgeries for different things, and if the scars don’t heal properly, I just have to put on tattoos to remove the sting,” the crooner said.

“I don’t have the real heavy, dark tattoos. Mine are all pastel. And I have more than one!

Dolly once told Good Morning America in 2019, “If I must have a scar for some reason, I can never get rid of that purple look.

“So I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to sort of decorate them with flowers or little butterflies or whatever. ”
