The singer revealed that she heard her cover of “Jolene” and immediately loved it. She took to Instagram with a photo of herself with Lil Nas X to share her appreciation for her portrayal of the hit.

“I was so excited when someone told me that Lil Nas X made my song ‘Jolene’. I had to find it and listen to it immediately … and it’s really, really good,” wrote Parton. “Of course I love him anyway. I was surprised and I am honored and flattered. Hope he does both of us good. Thank you @lilnasx “

The “Industry Baby” singer performed the song last week at BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

He had explained on SiriusXM Tuesday how he had chosen “Jolene”.
