Dolly Parton has millions of fans around the world, but her husband for more than 50 years is not one of them.
The 73-year-old country legend told "Good Morning Britain" on Monday that her husband, Carl Dean, preferred other types of music.
"He's not necessarily one of the biggest fans of my music," she said. "He is proud of me and loves what I do, but … it's a delicate subject. I'm like his little girl and he worries about that. "
Parton's has won numerous awards, including nine Grammys, 46 BMI Awards and 12 CMT Music Awards.
Dean, with whom she's been married for 53 years this May, prefers Led Zeppelin and bluegrass music, Dolly said. "He does not like it, but he's not doing his best to play my records, let's say it that way."
Parton's husband only saw her "time or two" in the past.
When asked if this distance was the reason for their long-time marriage, Parton replied, "The fact that we love each other, we respect each other, we always have fun. He's crazy and me too. We laugh a lot and I think it's the healthiest and most valuable part of our relationship. "
