The Dolphins kept Kiko Alonso on their list of 53 players, but only for one day.
Alonso was traded to the saints this morning, according to several reports.
It is not clear yet what the Saints sent back to Miami, but that's probably not much, given that Alonso has a base salary of $ 6.485 million in 2019, which leaves one wondering if a team would like to have it.
Over the past two seasons, Alonso has started all but two games in Miami, but the Dolphins are trying to rejuvenate and cheaper and have decided to move on. The Saints hope that Alonso will be able to strengthen their defense as they try to play a final Super Bowl with Drew Brees.
UPDATE 10:03 AM: The dolphins will receive linebacker Vince Biegel in the exchange, according to Nick Underhill of TheAthletic.com.
