Don everly, the last remaining member of the Everly Brothers – the duo that had a profound influence on many bands including the Beatles – has passed away.
Don died at his home in Nashville on Saturday. The cause of death is not yet known.
The Everly Brothers have had a string of huge hits, starting with “Bye Bye Love” in 1957, then “All I Have to Do Is Dream”, “When Will I Be Loved”, “Wake Up Little Susie”, ” Cathy’s Clown, “and more.
Don and Phil had a flawless harmony, and it not only resonated with consumers, but became a role model for many bands and bands, including The Beatles, The Mamas and the Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, The Hollies, and more. Again.
Phil died in 2014 from lung disease.
The Everly Bros. have toured with people like Chuck berry, my holly mate and many other early rockers who cemented the genre.
The duo were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1986… well deserved.

Don is survived by his wife, mother and 4 children.
He was 84 years old.
