Donald Cerrone confronts Dana White about the title

[ad_1]

To date, UFC President Dana White is already expected to have won the Tony Ferguson title win over Donald Cerrone. And yet, this is not the case since UFC 238 is about to happen to us.

Cerrone, who has experienced a resurgence since his fall to 155 pounds in January, said how disappointed he would be if a win over Ferguson did not win him the title. Meanwhile, Ferguson, the former interim lightweight champion who had been undressed last year, made his debut in UFC 238 after a remarkable run of 11 wins.

So, yes, it is rather undeniable: it will be a travesty if the winner of Saturday's "Main Event of the People" does not automatically receive a title shot.

Cerrone attempted to get a definite answer from White during the ceremonial weigh-in of UFC 238 on Friday, putting him on the sidelines as he faced Ferguson.

Cerrone turned to White to ask him, "Hey, the winner is definitely fighting for the belt, right?"

White's answer: "We'll talk tomorrow and we'll see. … we'll talk more about it.

You can check it in the video below (via Twitter):

I'm so excited to see Ferguson and Cerrone fight on Saturday night. But man, I can not lie: I'm afraid one of them will be burned. The winner must face the winner of the undisputed title fight at UFC 242 between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier, but this is far from a guarantee.

And you know why: it's thanks to Conor McGregor.

He continues to call for a rematch with Nurmagomedov. Even if McGregor does not deserve, it is clear that White is intrigued. Just this week on SportsCenter, he said that he "could absolutely" see this happen.

"Obviously, we will sit, watch how it all goes with these fights and see where Conor is and what he wants to do next," said White.

But that's the problem: McGregor does not fit in the photo of the title.

Hoping everything goes as planned for Ferguson or Cerrone, but I'm not too optimistic.
