Donald Mustard of Epic says that the skin of Rean of Fortnite was not based on John Wick

In an interview with Geoff Keighley at E3 2019 Coliseum, Donald Mustard of Epic Games gave a glimpse of the similarity between the skin of Fortnite's Reaper and the character of John Wick played by Keanu Reeves.

Reaper's skin has been awarded to Fortnite players for reaching rank 100 in the Battle Pass of season 3. Since its revelation, most of the Fortnite community has called it the John Wick skin; it is worth noting that Mustard says that this was not the intention.

In the John Wick film series, Wick is a legendary assassin in search of revenge at any cost. This assorted character and style has become an icon of recent culture with the release of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum.

To celebrate the release of the aforementioned film, Epic Games teamed up with director Chad Stahelski to officially introduce Fortune's limited-time mode and Wick's Bounty cosmetics.
