Donald Trump Jr. denounces Springsteen’s dropped charges for DWI

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted Thursday that federal prosecutors only dismissed DWI and reckless driving charges against rock icon Bruce Springsteen on the grounds of “liberal privilege.”

Trump Jr., 43, gave his opinion on the dismissal on Wednesday to his 6.7 million subscribers, citing a Post article on the result.

“I’d say it’s #WhitePrivilege, but we all know it’s really #LiberalPrivilege,” read the post, which had been retweeted more than 3,200 times on Thursday afternoon.

As prosecutors dropped both charges, Springsteen, 71, pleaded guilty to one count of drinking alcohol in a closed area following his November 14 arrest at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook.

Prosecutors noted that the Boss’s blood alcohol content was only 0.02 at the time, well below the state’s legal limit for driving of 0.08.

“I had two little shots of tequila,” Springsteen said during the virtual hearing.
