Dontrelle Inman highlights Patriots' change in offensive philosophy

Bruce Ellington is absent and Dontrelle Inman is present. Inman has 6 "3" and is a bigger catcher who plays well in the slot. He was fantastic on the Chargers in 2016, but has since moved from Chargers to Bears to Colts. The signing makes a lot of sense, considering how the Patriots attempted to rebuild their recipient body this year.

The Patriots have always been known for their small, fast and wide receivers, but now, the majority of players currently on the list are discarding this mold. In fact, only Julian Edelman, Braxton Berrios, Phillip Dorsett and Ryan Davis are under the age of 6. " The other recipients – Inman, the first-round pick N'Keal Harry, Demaryius Thomas, Maurice Harris, Jakobi Meyers, Xavier Ubosi and suspended Josh Gordon – are all bigger receivers.

Before the Pats acquired Gordon last season, when do you remember the last time the Patriots had a legitimate catcher? Randy Moss? They tried to make something work with Aaron Dobson, but his ball skills were worse than Chris Canty's (it's a small step back for all my GOs). The Patriots have obviously given great importance to large receivers, which can create a separation in different ways than the smaller receivers they had in the past.

You wonder if Tom Brady liked to play with Gordon and wanted more receivers with his type of mount. Whatever the reason, it is not by accident. The Patriots led by Bill Belichick had never sent a receiver in the first round before winning General Harry's 32nd place last month. I'm sure many people will have a lot of different theories before the start of the season, but we will not really know the plan until the start of the season. All I know is that I am excited to see where this offensive at the new look takes the Patriots this year.
