The developer of Doom, id Software, has officially declared not to be involved in Doom: Annihilation, a new direct adaptation of the legendary franchise.

Yesterday, a new trailer was released for Doom: Annihilation and the reaction is not too positive. This prompted GeorgeTheRaven tweet about id Software and the official account of Doom and ask for their "most honest opinion".

In response, the official account of Doom the quote tweeted the question and said, simply, "we are not involved with the film."

Developer id Software distanced itself from the film, which will be Doom's first feature film since Doomne with director Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson since 2005, and instead focuses on upcoming titles such as Doom: Eternal.
