DotF: Sabathia enters rehab after Tampa win

A number of people have asked me where to find their DotF patch once RAB stopped. I recommend the Prospect Pipeline page of MLB.com. Scroll down the list, choose the Yankees, and they have all the scores of the day on one page. There is no player comment like DotF, but all the stats are there.

Triple-A Scranton / Wilkes-Bar RailRiders (10-2 win against Buffalo)

• RF Trey Amburgey: 1-5
• 1B Mike Ford: 3-5, 3 R, 3 HR, 4 RBI – Gary Sanchez was not the only player in the organization to play three games at home today … it's also not Ford's first three-man game either, he had a four-man game few years ago.
• SS Thairo Estrada: 0-5, 2 K – because of the call and the sending, it was his first game of the season
• 2B Gosuke Katoh: 0-4, 3 K

• SS Kyle holder: 1-5, 1 RBI
• 2B Brandon Wagner: 0-4, 2 K, 1 E (commissioning) – 0-on-9 with three walks at the beginning
• CF Rashad Crawford: 2-4, 1 RBI – 5-in-15 (.333) four-game
• 3B Wendell Rijo: 2-4, 2 R, 2 HR, 2 RBI – only his third game in two games in 546 career games … the Yankees have got Brewers in Erik Kratz's trade last year
• RHP Albert Abreu: 4 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 1 K, 1 HR, 1 WP, 1 HB, 2/4 GB / FB – Strikes (49%) were scored on 49 out of 79 pitches … first start of difficult season
• RHP Jose Mesa: 1,2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 1 K, 2/1 GB / FB – 25 of the 50 fields were strikes

Tampa Tarpons (3-2 win over Lakeland, walk-off style)

• CF Pablo Olivares: 0-4, 1 K
• 2B Diego Castillo: 0-3, 1 RBI – 0-for-12 on the young season
• SS Oswaldo Cabrera: 1-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 SB
• DH Dermis Garcia: 0-4, 2 K
• RF Isiah Gilliam: 2-2, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 1 CS – two-point walker … he's 6-in-12 (.500) with two doubles, one homer, four goals and two strikeouts at the start
• LHP CC Sabathia: 4.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 4/2 GB / FB – 40 of the 62 locations were strikes (65%) … here is a video of his release … He is expected to be his only rehab outing, so he is ready to throw about 80 shots when he joins the rotation next weekend.

Low-A Charleston RiverDogs (7-2 win over Columbus)

• CF Brandon Lockridge: 2-4, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 SB – first hits of the season for the fifth round of last year
• CF Isaiah Pasteur: 0-5, 1 R, 2 K
• RF Josh Stowers: 1-4, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K – 5-in-14 (.357) with four walks and four strikeouts in four games
• 2B Kyle Gray: 1-4, 1 K
• RHP Luis Gil: 3.1 IP, 3H, 0R, 0R, 4BB, 6K, 2/0 GB / FB – (57%) 43 of the 75 shots went on strike … Last year, the 15.4% market rate was 15.4%, so games like this are not uncommon.
