SAINT ANTHONY – A double house fire and thick smoke on the West Side called for a major firefighting response on Sunday afternoon.

The fire occurred around 11 a.m., in the 200 block of Segura Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found a house in the area completely ravaged by the flames. The fire quickly spread to a nearby house as well, according to SAFD.

Thick smoke billowed from one of the houses as firefighters worked on the scene. Officials said crews attacked both fires aggressively, but each house suffered extensive damage.
