Jurgen Klopp insists that he will wait until Wednesday to decide definitively on Roberto Firmino's ability to start the Champions League semi-final in Liverpool with Barcelona at Nou Camp.
The Brazilian striker broke a groin muscle last week and missed Huddersfield Town 's 5-0 defeat in the Premier League.
However, Firmino was able to participate in training at Melwood on Tuesday and flew with the team to Spain.
"Yes, of course (that's a huge boost)," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com
"We all knew from the start that it would be a race. We do not have to make a decision today because there is no match today, we can wait. It looked good until now, but until tomorrow I have to make that decision – after tomorrow's lunch. This is what I'm gonna do. "
There was another good news for the Reds with Klopp confirming that Fabinho is available for selection.
The former Monegasque midfielder missed the victory over Huddersfield after the blow to the head that he suffered against Cardiff City the previous weekend.
"Every human being needs time and needs it," Klopp said.
"If Huddersfield's match had taken place a day later, he could have played, but it was just impossible for this game.
"This is now the most intense period of a very long season, because we now have three games in six days and we have to think about different things.
"Of course we have difficulties with the opponents, but the boys are all in good shape and we will use as much as we can."
Klopp revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had been training "completely normal" since his return as a substitute against Huddersfield and that he was also trying to cope with Barca.
