McMillon joined the company more than 28 years ago as an hourly associate, loading trucks into a distribution center located in northwestern Arkansas.
Since then, he has held various positions within the company before being appointed CEO in 2014. This trajectory has taught him how to manage his associates, as well as his own career.

McMillon's own experience in the sport has helped to create a team atmosphere, he said.
