Immediately after Doug Pederson’s sacking of the Philadelphia Eagles, a big question was whether the Super Bowl-winning coach would land another job this recruiting round.
To date, the former Eagles coach has not generated much interest.
Pederson told the Bowens of the Philadelphia Inquirer in a text that he “was bending over to take next year and prepare for [the] next season. “
The only head coach gigs left to fill are in Houston and Philadelphia, so it doesn’t appear that Pederson is in line for a top job (he hasn’t been interviewed for any of the previously open positions).
The Seattle Seahawks spoke with Pederson about their work as offensive coordinator, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported over the weekend.

Pederson’s run to Philly ended in unrest, mostly because of his handling of Carson Wentz, his perceived feelings about the QB, and his disagreements with management. When a Super Bowl victory and a three-time playoff appearance in five seasons couldn’t overcome problems, his apparent problems ran deep.
After a season spent, Pederson’s resume should make him a candidate for a coaching job in 2022. Owners love candidates with winning experience, and Pederson’s Super Bowl victory will go a long way to masking the issues. which ended his run in Philly.
