Dow Inc. will take the place of DowDuPont Inc. in the Dow Jones Industrial Average before the start of trading on April 2, the S & P Dow Jones Indices announced Tuesday.
This transaction marks the latest reshuffle of the 30-share index, which many investors are watching closely as an indicator of the performance of blue-chip stocks. DowDuPont has spurred Dow's spin-off as a separate company starting April 2, the index provider said.
