Exclusive details
Dr. Dre will finally fall asleep in his own bed tonight – he was released from the hospital after suffering from a brain aneurysm, but doctors are still monitoring him closely.
Sources close to Dre tell TMZ … he returned home on Friday and while he is on the mend, he still needs attention. We are told that there are healthcare professionals in his home who will monitor him 24/7 for the next few weeks to make sure he is okay.
Our sources tell us that Dre was in intensive care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles until Wednesday, when he was later transferred to a private room in the hospital. Despite being released, we’re told doctors still don’t know what triggered the brain bleeding – and that’s part of the reason for home care.
We broke history … Dre suffered from an aneurysm to his home in Pacific Palisades on January 4 and was transported by ambulance to Cedars.

Our sources told us that Dre’s doctors had cautiously informed his family that a “bad outcome” did not appear to be on the horizon.
Dre is lucky with this result … brain aneurysms kill about half the time, and for those lucky enough to survive, about 2 in 3 end up with some kind of permanent neurological deficit.
