Dr Dre ordered to pay Nicole Young $ 300,000 per month in divorce

Nicole Young will receive a substantial sum of money from Dr. Dre in the midst of their divorce.

A judge ordered the music mogul to pay Young $ 293,306 a month in spousal support, according to reports. That’s over $ 3.5 million a year. Although this is a good chunk of change for most people, the sum is far less than what they asked for. In September 2020, Dr Dre’s ex-wife requested $ 2 million per month.

The rapper will also cover expenses for their homes in Malibu and Pacific Palisades and pay for Young’s health insurance. If she remarries or enters into a new domestic partnership, the agreement will end. The couple share two adult children, son Truice, 24, and daughter Truly, 20, so custody and support are not in issue.

Young filed for divorce in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage, and the process has been anything but amicable. She accused the acclaimed producer of psychological and physical abuse, which he firmly denied.

Dr Dre was declared legally single by a judge as his lawyer, Laura Wasser, filed a bifurcation motion. She argued that Young’s “false allegations of domestic violence” demonstrate that their union is irreparable.

The divorce has not yet been granted.
