Dr Fauci reveals ‘last thing you’ll see’ in coronavirus pandemic

Dr Anthony Fauci recently revealed in an interview with Yahoo Sports that unlimited capacity in sports stadiums would be ‘the last thing’ you will see as the United States seeks to end the coronavirus pandemic.

What’s going on?

Fauci said in the new interview that he didn’t expect full capacity to be available by the summer. He said it is unlikely that there will be a full stadium of fans in an NBA arena by the time the NBA Finals go down.

  • “I think it will cut him up close,” he said.

So what about full NFL stadiums next fall?

  • “Oh, it’s possible. I think it’s possible, ”Fauci said.

Fauci said in the interview that stadium filling would depend on a number of factors, including the number of people taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • “We are going to vaccinate the highest priority people (from) the end of December to January, February, March,” Fauci said. “By the time you reach the general public, the people who will go to basketball games, who have no underlying conditions, it will start at the end of April, May, June. So it will probably be well into the end of summer before you can really feel comfortable (with full sports stadiums) – if a lot of people get vaccinated. I don’t think we will be this normal in July. I think it would probably be at the end of the summer.

Fauci said in an interview with Mark Zuckerberg that all Americans should receive the COVID-19 vaccine when it is available in order to help stop the massive spread of the virus, CNN reports.

  • “Say, ‘I won’t be one of those stepping stones for the virus to go to someone else. I’m going to be a dead end in the face of the virus, ”he said.
